Jennifer’s Terrace

The world at times feels very small, and at other times enormously large, but what I have found most astonishing is how someone’s ‘world’ can feel SO different from another person who lives, say only a single hour away? If you are planning a wedding and you want to get out of town, but the phrase ‘destination wedding’ sounds too daunting to you, think again! Last week I was graciously invited up to Tahachapi (about 45 minutes from downtown Bakersfield) to preview an adorable garden venue called Jennifer’s Terrace.
Jennifer has an eye for unique and delightful, and with the help of her wonderful staff Sandy, Gloria, and others she makes everyone who steps into her ‘home’ feel welcome, warm, and luxurious.

The event that Jennifer was hosting the day I visited was called The Market Place. Over a dozen local venders brought their etsy works, their hand-made products, produce, and even a local Yack for the kids to ooh and aah at! I cannot wait to see their next wedding set up under the large oak trees with a hundred decorated people strolling through the bright flower beds and around the vine covered archways of this english style setting. Jennifer’s Terrace makes you feel like you are in your own little corner of England where you are destined for a delightful taste of pleasure, and English comforts.

My 45 minute drive to a nearby town kept my thoughts in a whole other world, and I am sure that you would feel the same comforts from Jennifer’s Terrace.
